I am blessed to be married to a wonderful man for almost 38 years. We have three kids and three grandkids - oh, and also a dog - can't forget the dog. I work in a law office and, most importantly, I am a follower of Christ.
These days people take that to mean things that it doesn't necessarily mean. To me it means discipleship, love, acceptance and courage among other things. It doesn't mean waffling from core values and it doesn't mean hatred, fear or greed either. It does mean fairness, kindness, goodness. Nevertheless what Christianity means to me doesn't really matter, does it? All that matters is what Christianity means to Jesus. You can't figure that out simply from listening to and watching other people, no matter WHO they are. If you're trying to find Jesus only in people, you'll never see Him.
